The 78th Locarno Film Festival (5–15 August) features several queer works — including a project by Queercore director Bruce LaBruce and «Ãsheghetam», a short film about a queer youth in Iran (Pardi di Domani). 233 films from 69 countries, 103 world premieres. Evening screenings on Piazza Grande are open to the public and free.

The Street Parade Zurich is the world's most colourful house and techno parade, returning in 2026 for its 33rd edition. Around the lake basin, 26 Love Mobiles roll through the city and over 200 DJs play on nine stages. One of the biggest techno parades anywhere, drawing hundreds of thousands of visitors with a strong queer presence.
