In 2026 Amsterdam hosts WorldPride and EuroPride at the same time — a historic double from 25 July to 8 August. The highlight is the world-famous Canal Parade, with boats instead of floats. It is one of the year's biggest queer events in Europe.
About the event
In 2026 Amsterdam hosts WorldPride and EuroPride at the same time — a historic double that turns the city into a global meeting point for the queer community for roughly two weeks in high summer. The heart of it is the world-famous Canal Parade: instead of floats, decorated boats glide through the canal ring while hundreds of thousands line the quays and bridges. It is one of the most striking Pride spectacles anywhere — and it is free and open to everyone.
Amsterdam Pride has always been more than a party. Between street parties, concerts and exhibitions, the political voice stays present: visibility, solidarity and the defence of rights that are under pressure again in many places. The programme spreads across the whole city, from the canals to parks and squares, with dedicated strands for trans, women and young queer people.
For a first visit it makes an easy choice: a compact, bike-friendly city with short distances and a relaxed mood. For exact dates and the full programme, check the organisers' official site.
