Pride Central Switzerland this weekend: no march - but this plan is confirmed

What is actually happening on Saturday There is no classic Pride march or large festival in Lucerne in 2026. Visibility is not disappearing, though: on Saturday, 22 August, Vio la Cornuta and Rachel Harder host the Pride summer festival at Südpol in Kriens from 14:00 to 22:00. The afternoon combines singers, drag and comedy, followed by DJ sets in the evening. The venue also promises games, drinks and food in a queer fair atmosphere.
Entry is free, with a collection on site. The festival uses the Buvette and stage; bad weather moves the programme into the Shedhalle. The address is Arsenalstrasse 28, 6010 Kriens.
Sunday is quieter — and free Anyone who does not want the weekend to end with the party can join an open Church Brunch on Sunday from 11:00 to 14:00 at Peterskapelle, Kapellplatz 1a in Lucerne. Pride Church describes a free brunch with stories, conversation and short spiritual reflections; registration helps the organisers plan quantities.
Why there is no march Pride Central Switzerland says openly that current board capacity is not sufficient for a festival and demonstration in 2026. The year is being used to strengthen structures and recruit new people. In practical terms: do not look for a parade route; plan around the summer festival in Kriens and check the official pages for last-minute changes.
