A Mediterranean beach city throws one of the largest Prides in the region, ending in a daytime party on the sand.
About the event
Tel Aviv Pride is a week of events in June that culminates in a parade drawing well over 100,000 people, one of the largest in the region. Unlike marches that end at a stage in a square, this one finishes on the seafront: the route comes down through the city to Charles Clore Park, where it turns into a huge open-air beach party under the Mediterranean sun.
The city is the draw as much as the parade. Tel Aviv is a famously liberal, beach-facing destination with a year-round queer scene, walkable neighbourhoods, cafés and a long stretch of sand, set against the contrasting backdrop of historic Jaffa. Pride week layers parties, cultural events and international visitors on top of that everyday openness.
It sits in the destination-as-event category because the timing turns a beach holiday into a Pride trip: sun, sea and one of the most visible LGBTQ+ celebrations anywhere in its part of the world.
