Lausanne Pride 2026: Romandie gets its big Pride moment

Lausanne Pride 2026 is an important moment for Romandie. The official site presents the return to Lausanne as a festive, committed and unifying event, twenty years after the last edition in the Vaud capital.
The message is clearly political: the rights of LGBTQIA people and minorities are under pressure, and visibility is framed as a collective response. At the same time, the format remains open to culture, meeting and celebration, making it attractive for local groups and visitors from across Switzerland.
A Queer Switzerland article should do more than list the parade. It can explain Lausanne's role as a hub for Romandie services: VoQueer, local cultural venues, community evenings and French-language resources can all provide useful context.
