Where it is
The promenade lies on the Paseo Marítimo del Faro in the upmarket Meloneras district, right beside the Maspalomas lighthouse with direct access to the seafront walkway.
What it is
The open-air promenade combines boutiques of international brands, jewellery and perfume shops with restaurants and cocktail bars on terraces right by the sea. Especially at sunset it is a popular spot to stroll, dine and linger with views of the lighthouse.
History
Boulevard El Faro was created as part of the Lopesan group's tourism development of Meloneras and established itself as an upscale shopping and dining destination at the foot of the lighthouse. It complements the promenade linking Meloneras with the historic faro.
