Bern Pride 2026: 10,000 march for queer rights on Bundesplatz

Bern Pride 2026, under the motto 'Strong. And even stronger together!', drew around 10,000 people onto the streets of Switzerland's federal capital on Saturday, 25 July 2026. The demonstration march led from Waisenhausplatz through the Kramgasse to the Bundesplatz, where the festival continued late into the night.
Musical performances came from Milune, Carrousel and Sivilian, with drag shows featuring Jolene the Kween, Dimtyrio and Professor Pusseidon. The political demands of Bern Pride 2026 were clear: a ban on conversion therapy, expansion of the anti-racism criminal code to include trans and intersex people, introduction of a third gender designation, and better legal protection for rainbow families.
According to organisers, participation in 2026 was strong, underscoring the political energy of the queer community in Switzerland in a year when existing rights are being challenged in many places.
