Zurich Pride Festival is a nonprofit association organising a queer event in Zurich. Its festival and demonstration are announced for 11–12 June 2027. Membership supports the association’s work and provides voting rights.[3][1]
Overview
Zurich Pride Festival combines organising a queer event with the work of a membership association. Almost everyone involved in preparing the event works voluntarily and without payment. In a thank-you message to crowdfunding supporters, its supporters page refers to building a diverse and supportive community together. Membership provides financial support and also gives members a way to influence the event’s future through the general assembly.[1][3][2]
Activities
For 2027, the website announces a two-day festival on 11 and 12 June at the Kasernenareal and Zeughaushof. The festival element returns after a creative break. A demonstration is also announced for Saturday. The festival and demonstration therefore form two parts of the 2027 edition; the venues named in the announcement refer to the festival element.[1]
Taking part
Individuals have several annual membership options. Rainbow Membership costs CHF 45 and supports Zurich Pride’s delivery and the association’s work. Solidarity Membership is intended for people who can currently afford only a small contribution, with an amount freely chosen between CHF 1 and CHF 30. Both options include one vote at the general assembly and delivery of ZHPF Magazin.[3]
Supporter Membership costs CHF 300 annually. It includes one vote, magazine delivery and a name listing in the magazine, an invitation to the Zurich Pride drinks reception, and two Zurich Pride Party tickets. The higher contribution is intended to support additional events, visibility, safety, awareness work and accessibility.[3]
Companies and organisations can select Business Membership according to staff numbers: CHF 200 annually for 1–10 employees, CHF 400 for 11–50, and CHF 600 for more than 50. Each of these three categories carries two votes at the general assembly.[3]
Separate categories cover queer associations and organisations according to their active membership. The annual fee is CHF 100 with two votes for 1–50 active members. For 51–100 active members, it is CHF 200 with five votes; for more than 100, it is CHF 300 with ten votes at the general assembly.[3]
