History
This coastal strip is the historic origin of Torremolinos: an old fishing village that from the late 1950s became one of the first resorts on the Costa del Sol. La Carihuela preserves its fishing roots and traditional cuisine, while El Bajondillo lies on the central Tajo slope below the historic centre.
