What it is
The spacious municipal bath offers a sandy beach, large lawns, swimming pools and sports facilities for families and sun-seekers alike. The fenced nudist area with buffet and sauna is popular with gay visitors, who gather above all in a small bay on the northern side.
History
The Gänsehäufel is a tradition-rich lido on the Alte Donau whose origins go back to the late 19th century. Since 1983 it has had its own separate nudist section, one of only a few such areas in Austria.
