History
This roughly 100-hectare recreation area grew out of a system of seven interconnected former gravel pits with clean, groundwater-fed water. The 2.3-kilometre regatta course is used by schools, clubs and elite athletes for rowing and canoeing. Today the lake is one of the city's most important recreation areas.
