What it is
The tower offers one of the best panoramic views over Copenhagen's rooftops and spires, and entry is free. There is also a restaurant at the top. Visitors wanting to combine the view with history can also tour the royal reception rooms and the ruins beneath the palace.
History
Slotsholmen has been Denmark's centre of power for around 800 years; the present palace was completed in 1928. The 106-metre tower is the tallest palace tower in Denmark. Today Christiansborg houses the Folketing (parliament), the prime minister's office and the Supreme Court.
