What it is
Tivoli blends fairground rides, lush gardens, concerts, ballet, theatre and many restaurants into a unique mix of funfair and park. In the evenings the illuminations create a fairy-tale mood, and at Halloween and Christmas the park is elaborately decorated. It suits all ages and is a landmark of the city.
History
The amusement park opened in 1843, making it one of the oldest operating amusement parks in the world. It is said to have inspired Walt Disney in the design of his own parks. Over the decades Tivoli has combined its historic pavilions and gardens with modern rides and stages.
