What it is

The King's Garden is a much-loved, freely accessible park for picnics and strolling. Together they offer one of the most striking pairings of history and greenery in the city centre.
History
Rosenborg was built between 1606 and 1634 by King Christian IV in Dutch Renaissance style as a pleasure palace. It served the royal family for centuries and today houses the Danish crown jewels and royal regalia. The surrounding Kongens Have is Denmark's oldest royal garden.
