What it is
Bassa Rodona is the best-known gay beach in Sitges, an easy walk from the town centre and often flying rainbow flags. It is lively and sociable, backed by bars and restaurants, with peak season from June (Sitges Pride) into early autumn.
History
Sitges has drawn artists since the late 19th century and has been an international centre of LGBTQ tourism for decades. Within that setting, Bassa Rodona has become the central city beach associated with the community.
