The square sits on the La Punta promontory in front of the parish church, at the entrance to the old town between Sant Sebastià and La Ribera beaches.
What it is
The square is one of the most symbolic viewpoints in Sitges, with sweeping views over the Passeig de la Ribera, the bay and the beaches. With the church behind it and fixed telescopes along the railing, it is a classic spot for photos and sunsets.
History
The Baluard is the old bastion crowning the La Punta promontory where the parish church has long stood. A cannon set into its wall, aimed out to sea, recalls the site's former defensive role.
