What it is
Rather than a permanent collection, Fotografiska runs changing exhibitions by leading and emerging photographers, plus a restaurant, bar and shop. It stays open late, and its top-floor café offers a sweeping view over the harbour and the old town.
History
This contemporary photography museum opened in 2010 in an Art Nouveau customs building dating from 1906. The original Stockholm venue has since grown into an international network with houses in Tallinn, Berlin and Shanghai, among others.
